Grace’s Bread & Butter pudding

2 oz butter

10 slices white bread

2 oz raisins

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

12 oz milk

2 oz whipping cream

2 eggs

1 oz brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

 

Grease baking dish with butter

Butter bread and cut diagonally – layer in dish

Sprinkle with raisins and spices to taste

Heat milk and cream (don’t boil)

Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla (add baileys if desired)

Add milk while whisking

Pour over bread, sprinkle with sugar and bake until golden.
